• To refine your search results, use quotation marks to enclose phrases. This is also helpful if you want to include a common word which Google would otherwise ignore. For example, if you search for IT consultancy, Google will ignore the it and return results with all types of consultancy, whereas "IT consultancy" will give computing specialists.
• You can also force Google to include a word it would otherwise ignore by putting a + (plus sign) in front of it. Similarly, if you put a - (minus sign) in front of your search term, Google will show only pages which do not contain that word. For example, searching for Cambridge -Massachusetts will remove a lot of pages relating to that American city of Cambridge
• If you want to search within a particular website, after your search terms put a space, then type site:www.websitename.com (make sure there is no space between the colon and the url of the website) For example, GPRS site:www.syplex.co.uk will search only the Syplex website for references to GPRS

1. Highlight the section of the webpage that you want to print
2. From the File menu in Internet Explorer, select Print (or right click the selected text and select Print)
3. In the dialog box, under Page Range, opt for the “Selection” button.
4. Then click Print

Find it hard to read from pages with very small text?

1. From the View menu in Internet Explorer, click on Text Size.
2. Select 'larger' or 'largest.'

NB: If you have a wheeled mouse, you can achieve the same effect by holding the Ctrl button and rolling the wheel on your mouse. (This also works in Microsoft Word and other Office programs)
